We were driving past McKinnon Airport about 3:15 yesterday afternoon and came across a non-fatal plane crash -- apparently, the pilot attempted a landing and in the process mangled his front landing gear -- then, he came around to attempt a landing again and his wing clipped the ground and brought him down -- witnesses, some of whom were passing motorists who jumped the fence to assist, told us the pilot was in a great deal of pain but was ambulatory -- lucky day, close call....
